Rates

Currently the rates charged for Usage are as follows:

• 9000 Gallon Minimum at $31.50
• Gallons Used Over Minimum at $3.50 per 1000 gallons

Fees

On December 19, 2006, the Terrel Hills Water Company, Inc. filed for approval of an electronic tariff schedule, containing rules, regulations, rates and charges applicable to water service, to become effective April 1, 2007.  All water companies providing water service across property lines are required by Public Service Law to have a tariff on file with the New York State Public Service Commission.

The standard tariff sets forth basic requirements in specific terms relating to rates, terms of payment and charges for returned checks, restoration of service and late payments, all of which are described below:

Returned Check Charge:   

The Company may charge the fee from the bank plus $5.00, not to exceed the maximum allowed under Section 5-328 of General Obligations Law.

Late Payment Charge:   

A charge of 1 1/2% per month can be applied to all bills not paid within 23 days of mailing.

Reconnect Fee

A charge of $25 will be applied to all accounts for reconnecting water service that has been terminated for non-payment.

Terms of Payment:

Bills shall be rendered quarterly and in arrears and are due and payable upon receipt.  Bills not paid within 23 days of mailing are delinquent and the late payment charge becomes applicable and service may be discontinued after proper notice as required by law.
